Nick Slosser

Nick Slosser

An Oregon native, Nick lives in north Portland with his wife Laura and two cats, Mugsy and Rita.  He holds a degree from Willamette University and a graduate degree from Yale’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.  He spent over 5 years as a conservation biologist at a non-profit in Corvallis, Oregon, before moving to Stumptown, where he now writes stories and works (with John Caruso) at the all-mystery bookstore, Murder by the Book.  So far, all Nick’s publications have been in conservation science.  His first mystery novel, set in Portland in the 1950s, will be fishing for a publisher in the near future.  A fan of movies, both good and bad—especially the bad—Nick also likes to play and design board games in his spare time.
